Art Therapy Project

Alpha Gamma Alpha and the Armenian American Students for Health hosted various events as well as a toy drive through AGA's Alpha chapter in UCLA for the Art Therapy Project. The purpose of this project was to purchase and send art therapy supplies to the rehabilitation center, Armenak and Anna Tadevossian's Medical Center, in Kosh, Armenia. The center cares for around 80 children, some as young as 2 years old, others in their late teens, with physical and mental disabilities. Early intervention and attention is key in helping these children reach their full potential.

Project Secret Santa

For 13 years Alpha Chapter has provided gifts for thousands of underprivileged students from a Title I school. They collect letter that these kids write to Santa, and on the last day of school, Santa visits the classes and grants each and every single wish, whether it be for a toy, a book, a jacket, or a pair or shoes. This year, the girls from Alpha Chapter and all other Alpha Gamma Alpha chapters, with the help of their alumni, granted wishes and delivered toys to over 240 underprivileged children and they hope to continue this chapter tradition for many years to come.

Runway to Relief

Runaway to Relief fashion show has been a tradition that has been revitalized in recent years. The show brings together sisters from all chapters to participate as models. Each years proceeds go towards a philanthropic organization. This years' proceeds will go toward the Women's Support Center in Yerevan, Armenia. The Women's Support Center provides comprehensive safe houses for women and their children who are escaping domestic violence. The Center also provides psychological, legal, educational, and financial assistance to women who are escaping domestic violence. This years fashion show will take place in Burbank, California on March 31st, 2017!
